Open an Account

After familiarizing yourself with the InTrust Advisors market philosophy and our services, this page provides you with all the information that you need to open an account with us via our third party custodian (Fidelity Investments).  As an alternative to the information and forms found on this website, you may request and information package containing the same materials simply by sending an e-mail to us containing your name, mailing address, type of account(s) and whether you will be transferring funds or securities from another institution via check or wire.  The address to contact with this information is info@intrustadvisors.com

The follow should help you through the steps to set up an account with us.

STEP ONE: Compete The InTrust Advisors Forms

Account Application

This form opens an account with InTrust Advisors and provides us with critical information, such as how to contact you and what your investment objectives are at present.  This form MUST be completed and returned to us to open an account.

Investment Advisory Agreement – Market Adaptive Portfolio Strategies

Investment Advisory Agreement – Personalized Portfolio Solutions and Active Hedge Overlay

These documents are the legal contracts between you and InTrust Advisors.  It outlines what we will commit to do for you and what you are committing to do for us.  One or both of these form MUST be completed and returned to us to open an account, depending on the strategy or strategies we will be implementing in your account(s).

Form ADV-Part-II – Brochure

You are required by law to receive or review a copy of InTrust Advisor’s Form ADV Part II.  Here is a copy for your review.  You do not need to print this out or send us a copy.


  

STEP TWO: Complete Fidelity Investments Applications

Here are the most common forms that you will need to establish an account(s) at Fidelity Investments. If you already have an account at Fidelity Investments, please complete this first form “Add Advisor to Fidelity Retail Account.”  If you do not have a Fidelity account yet, please complete any of the three forms below (whichever apply).  Each new account requires its own application.

Add Advisor to Fidelity Retail Account Form

This form gives InTrust Advisors the authority to manage your existing Fidelity account(s) and deduct advisory fees.  Please complete one form for each account you wish us to manage for you.

Fidelity Individual/Joint Brokerage Account Application  

This form opens an account with Fidelity Investments and provides InTrust Advisors with the authority to trade your account and deduct advisory fees.  The account may be funded by either a check payable to Fidelity Investments or a transfer from another brokerage account (in which case you will need to fill out the Fidelity Transfer of Assets Form).

Fidelity Business/Partnership Account Application  

This form is used to open a business or partnership account with Fidelity Investments and provides InTrust Advisors with the authority to trade your account and deduct advisory fees.  The account may be funded by either a check payable to Fidelity Investments or a transfer from another brokerage account (in which case you will need to fill out the Fidelity Transfer of Assets Form).

Fidelity IRA Application

This form is used to open a qualified IRA retirement account with Fidelity Investments and provides InTrust Advisors with the authority to trade. The account may be funded by either a check payable to Fidelity Investments or a transfer from another brokerage account (in which case you will need to fill out the Fidelity Transfer of Assets Form.) This form accomodates all types of IRAs from Roths to SEP-IRAs.

Fidelity Transfer of Assets Form  

This form is used to transfer cash and/or securities from another brokerage account to a new account at Fidelity Investments.  Fidelity requires a copy of your latest statement for the account you wish to transfer from be included with this transfer form.  Please make sure to include this information with your application.


  

STEP  THREE: Mail Your Forms And Fund Your Account

Before mailing, please make sure you have completed and signed all necessary forms, and have made a copy for your records.  Return all required forms, including the Fidelity forms, directly to us at:

Unless you are funding your new Fidelity Account(s) through a transfer (and you enclosed your completed “Fidelity Transfer of Assets Form”), you can fund it by writing a check payable to Fidelity Investments and mailing it to us with your application forms.

If you would like to wire funds, send your application forms (even the Fidelity forms) directly to us.  Once the account is set up, we will provide you with wire instructions.
