Our Wealth Planning Process

Step One – The Discovery Meeting
During the discovery meeting, we want to clearly understand what matters most to you. This conversation is for us to get an understanding your values and dreams, attitudes about money, and past financial experiences, as well as, both your current and future objectives and needs.
Our secondary goal is help you fully understand our unique investment philosophies and approach. We will address all of your questions regarding our process, including how we are compensated.
Finally, we will mutually decide whether we would be a good fit for one another. If so, a second meeting will be suggested and scheduled.
Step Two – The Investment Planning Meeting
At this meeting, we will present our actionable portfolio recommendations along with our basic financial projections. Both of these items will serve as a road map for achieving your goals and objectives. We will also explain in more detail why our suggested solution(s) will help you achieve your goals and objectives.
In many cases, we will also outline a list of other financial planning related items we would recommend you address and timeline for addressing such items via our professional network. Should you decide to pursue these planning related items, there would be an additional charge by InTrust for our time in making these referrals or facilitating in their completion.
Obviously, for adviser referred clients or clients looking only to add one of our investment solutions to a portfolio of existing investment managers, this process along with some of the items in our Five-Step Portfolio Review Process would not be necessary or would be handled by your referring advisor(s).
Step Three – The Mutual Commitment Meeting
At this meeting, we will confirm our commitment to work together to achieve your goals, dreams and objectives as part of a long-term relationship. We will also address any remaining questions or concerns regarding our recommendations, process or future planning items.
Step Four – 45-Day Follow-Up Meeting
At this meeting, we will help you organize all paperwork in a personalized binder that we provided during our mutual commitment meeting. We will also answer any questions you may have so that you understand exactly what is happening with your money.
Step Five – The Progress Meeting
These meetings, scheduled at intervals convenient to you, give us an opportunity to review any major changes in your personal or financial life since our last meeting, and determine if these changes necessitate adjustments to your plan. We will review your overall progress toward your long-term financial goals and dreams.
